We stream simultaneously in both landscape and portrait formats using Restream. However, when creating a vertical Clip, Restream always uses the original horizontal recording and places it inside a 9:16 canvas.

This creates a poor result because the content remains horizontal, with unused space or unsuitable cropping, even though a native portrait version of the same stream already exists.

It would be very useful to let users choose which stream output should be used as the source for Clips:

Automatic selection based on clip orientation

For example, when creating a 9:16 Clip, Restream could automatically use the portrait recording rather than reframing the landscape feed.

This would significantly improve Clips for users who livestream simultaneously to vertical platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
